About FeeNook

FeeNook exists because most fee calculators stop at the headline rate — and the headline rate is rarely the number that decides your margin.

What we do

We build free calculators that model the full fee stack for the platforms people actually sell on: eBay, Amazon FBA, Etsy, and Shopify. Each calculator shows every line item, the effective rate, and the profit after your costs. Where a rule has a cap, a category exception, or a fixed fee, we try to model it rather than hide it behind an average.

Why we started

Marketplace fees are deliberately layered. eBay charges its percentage on shipping and sales tax. Etsy stacks a listing fee, a transaction fee, and payment processing. Amazon adds fulfillment, storage, and a fuel surcharge. Shopify hides a monthly plan behind a per-sale rate. Sellers deserve a calculator that shows the whole bill, not just the part that fits in a headline.

How we work

  • Primary sources first. We read the platform’s fee page, seller documentation, and official announcements. We link to them in the guides.
  • Show the assumptions. US rates, USD, one order, annual billing where relevant. If your account differs, every calculator lets you override the rate.
  • Update on a schedule. Fee tables are reviewed monthly and after any platform announcement. Each page shows the review date.
  • Correct in public. If a rate is wrong, email us and we will fix it and note the change.

How we make money

FeeNook is free. In the future we may earn revenue from display advertising and from affiliate links to seller tools. Affiliate links are marked and disclosed, and they never change the fee math. We do not sell user data, and we do not accept payment to rank a platform or a tool.

Independence

FeeNook is not affiliated with eBay, Amazon, Etsy, or Shopify. We do not have access to your seller account, and we cannot tell you what your exact fees will be. We can show you the structure and the math, so you can check your own numbers.
